A.J. Baucum, PhD
Current position: Associate Professor (tenured), Indiana University – Purdue University, Indianapolis
AJ “in vivo” Baucum came to us from Oregon, via LA and Salt Lake City. He is a “complex” person and developed methods to analyze changes in synaptic protein assemblies in disease states and in mutant mice using co-immunoprecipitation and proteomic approaches. He was supported by a UNCF-Merck fellowship award and then by a K01 career development award from the NINDS, and is now an Assistant Professor of Biology at IUPUI.
