Social Stories for Young Children

Social stories are brief stories that describe a situation and provide information regarding a social situation. These stories help children understand social interactions, situations, expectations, social
cues, the script of unfamiliar activities, and/or social rules. Caregivers can use social stories to prepare children for new situations, to reduce challenging behavior, and to teach new skills. Below you will find a variety of social stories to help you support your young child.
