Philosophy For Black Lives (P4BL) Speaker Series

About

This project aims to gather and document a range of philosophical responses to the racially fraught controversies that came to a head in the year 2020. Team members will interview participants in Nashville’s summer of protest in order to document a) the ethical commitments that moved the activists to action and b) the sources of those commitments. They will also record professional philosophers engaged in conversations about these issues, with an eye toward creating durable digital objects that can be used as resources for teaching or for public programming.

The views and opinions expressed in these videos are those of the speakers and do not necessarily reflect the official policies or positions of any of the co-hosting departments, colleges, or universities.
