Steven Lee

Steven is a sophomore at Vanderbilt University from Long Island, New York, majoring in Neuroscience. In his free time, he enjoys solving chess puzzles, listening to music, and playing tennis with friends.

In the lab, Steven is investigating the role of the arrestin-3 finger loop in GPCR binding. Previous research in the lab revealed that the finger loop region in visual arrestin-1 acts as an activation sensor for light-activated rhodopsin binding. Steven’s work will determine whether this is generalizable. He tests whether the finger loop plays a similar role in binding cognate GPCRs by non-visual arrestin-3.
